Bruno A. Loya III began his folklórico career 25 years ago with Tucson's official folklórico group, Ballet Folklórico San Juan de Julie Gallego. Maestro Loya was promoted to assistant director of Viva Dance Studio in 2014, with a special emphasis on choreographing and leading Ballet Folklórico Arizona and the Viva Arizona Dance Company. In addition to his work with Arizona Folklorico Dance Co. (formerly Ballet Folklorico Arizona), Bruno Loya is also the current presiding director of Tucson High Magnet School's folklórico Los Tucsonenses.
Maestro Loya has a variety of dance and theatrical production experience including:
- Teaching workshops for the Las Vegas International Mariachi Conference in collaboration with Elias Entertainment & the Chispa Foundation
- Performing for Mariachi USA in 2014 at the Hollywood Bowl under the direction of Maestro Rafael Valpuesta, Director of Origenes Dance Co.
- Traveling to represent the United States during the 2012 Olympic Festivities in London with Ballet Folklórico La Paloma & the Viva Arizona Dance Co.
- Traveling to represent México in the 2017 BALLUS 17th International Folk Festival in Sardina, Italy alongside Ballet Folklórico Huehuecoyotl
- Performing & choreographing for Lila Downs' 2020 Al Chile Tour in Phoenix, Arizona with Maestra Vanessa Ramirez & Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli-AZ
- Representing Arizona & México in the 6th Festival Internacional Firtyc Fiesta en America in Cartagena, Colombia alongside Maestra Vanessa Ramirez & Ballet Folklórico Quetzalli-AZ
- Choreographing production numbers for the Merry-achi Christmas show in Tucson & Scottsdale alongside Mariachi Sol de México de Jose Hernandez
- Co-collaborator for innovative productions such as Viva Dance Studio's "Viva Dia de los Muertos" glow-in-the-dark folklórico show
